The benefits of a Silk Press: ⁃ Healthier hair ( it’s easier to see split ends and damaged hair whenthe hair is stretched out of its natural curl) ⁃ Low maintenance ⁃ Long lasting (with the proper care and maintenance plan) ⁃ No chemicals needed (perfect for those transitioning to natural) ⁃ Best way to length check growth in the hair A detailed detangling, to prep for an efficient and relaxing shampoo service. An in-depth 2-step shampoo service using 1) a cleansing and detoxing shampooing scrub to remove any build up in the hair and scalp, followed by 2) a sulphate free and gentle cleansing shampoo to make sure for a clean canvas. A personalised hydrating treatment, an important step to a successful Silk Press, this will prevent drying the hair out whilst heat is applied. The hair is prepped, detangled and the appropriate products are applied to the hair (heat protector and moisture restoring leave- in) The hair is carefully stretched out using a blow wave technique, this step is crucial to be done correctly as it determines the overall result of the silk press and thus, the longevity of the style. After the hair is blow waved, we proceed to trim any split ends to ensure a healthy and shag free head of hair. Now to create the silk! We begin by prepping the hair using heat protector, using a flat iron, we create a bouncy, shiny and weightless finish to the hair. We dress and seal the hair using a weightless and water soluble oil to add further shine to the hair. You whip your beautiful hair back and forth!

James also gives the best washes and massages! he was really gentle with my hair , even with the detangling. James and another lady started doing finger coils to my hair. They done well.
