Doing hair has always been second nature to me as I always wanted to do people's hair to make them feel good about themselves. Hairdressing is really my comfort zone and a way of expressing my creativity. As soon as I finished school, the only place I ever worked at was at a salon, until I found Excentric hair salon, which became a game changer because I gained so much more than just doing what I love but it's a space for growth and excellence. Hey, I'm Aaliyah, and I am one of the many stylists at Excentric on Kloof. When I started here, my goal was to expand my skills as a stylist, and I have learned so much and still am. I've been in the hairdressing industry for 6 years, and looking back, it's been the greatest decision I've ever made. As an assistant, I've always admired and aspired to be as good as other stylists, and here I am today, at the best salon in Cape Town! The salon has a home like feel and is always welcoming. The salon is known for being innovative and creative and allowing you to express yourself as a stylist and along with the regular training, it provides the best workspace ideal for me. My favorite parts of my job are coloring and training sessions. I enjoy learning new ways to become better. When I started in 2022, I knew nothing about the CGM (Curlygirl method), but with the help of the salon, it's a new skill I've developed. At Excentric we learn more than just about hair, we learn self love, confidence, goal settings, mental health awareness and so much more on how to become better in all aspects of life. Hi👋🏼 I'm Patience. From as early as I can remember I always fantasized about having long hair and I would plait my hair from a young age with the hope my hair could grow very long. I have years of experience in doing ethnic hair, my favorite being hair extensions, weaves and blow dry, but I always felt limited to ethnic hair and I went to study hairdressing at the International Academy in order to get exposure to caucasian hair and how it is styled, it has been such a fascinating journey and my vision is to be able to do both Ethnic and Caucasian hair under the same umbrella, what excites me is being able to transform someone's look from dull to amazing, that " wow I love how my hair looks" remark from my clients and just being able to give clients hope for better more beautiful version of their hair. As much as the industry is highly demanding I find it very rewarding, it is something I would do for free. I recently joined Excentric on Kloof and I am a Stylist in the making working hard to complete the in salon Advanced training program to enable me to reach my goal of being a Stylist.

Hi 👋🏼I'm Charne. I'm 21 years old. I have always had a passion for hair. It all started in grade 7, I started doing family and friends hair and ever since then I just love making others feel good. That's when I also realized that this is what I love doing and I need to go into it. I finished school 2017. I took a gap year to experience life in a hairdresser. I was hired to basically be the apprentice until the owner gave me a chance to prove myself to her. With that came a lot of ups and downs and that's when I realized that I need to go study to become the best person and Stylist I can be. I finished my full-time hairdressing course at International Hair Academy in 2020 and closer to the end of 2020 I was seeking for a job. I applied for a job at Excentric and ever since I did not regret my choice because not only do I only wash hair but they are giving me a chance to grow, learn and experience what hairdressing is all about. I love what I'm doing and won't trade it for anything.

Hi! My name is Anita.
I have been fascinated with all things hair for as long as I can remember. I fortunately had the freedom to experiment with my hair from an early age (this meant that my barbie dolls could finally catch a break from unwarranted big chops) and in this freedom, I realised my passion for hair. It was then that I realised the hair industry had very limited knowledge surrounding curly and textured hair as a whole.
After what has felt like a lifetime in figuring out what I wanted to contribute to the hair industry, it finally dawned on me that I love learning and sharing what I have learnt thus far ( those who know me, know how talkative I can be)
My main mission is to show and teach you, my curly and textured friends (no matter the curl type) what fun can truly be had with your hair when you treat your crown with a little TLC. I cannot wait to have you in my chair as you begin the journey to reach and become your own hair goals!

I am qualified in all hair services and do eyebrow threading and shaping for a Extra YOU boost. I have a very special love for beautiful balayages and specialize in perms. I love how transformational they both are.
I started my journey with Excentric in 2018 after working at another well established salon in Cape Town. I wanted to progress and have a growth opportunity so after I have already completed my studies at the College of Cape Town and worked in the industry for years I made a sacrifice to learn as much as possible to become the stylist I am today. I completed the in salon advanced training provided by Excentric and was successfully appointed as a Stylist.
I continue to learn and grow everyday. My aim is to continue developing my skills daily and in future provide training and influence others. For now I continue enjoying making my clients look and feel important, valued, special and beautiful when I have the privilege to have them in my chair.

Hey, I’m Florin, known as Flo and if you have 3 mins I’d like to share my story with you. I started my career in 2007 with my brother, and together we founded Excentric in Romania. Being very passionate about the science behind the hair and the techniques that define perfection with precision, I attended over 30 international seminars. Some of them were in London, at Vidal Sassoon Academy, and these ones changed my approach towards cutting hair, understanding what a good haircut really means, and cutting hair becoming my passion and obsession.

When I came to Cape Town, I fell in love with the mother city and decided to call it home. In my first year, while working at Scar, I managed to impress South African Judges, getting second place in Wella Trend Vision and soon after that I obtained the Master Colorist Certificate with gold. In 2014, my wife and I started Excentric Cape Town with one big goal : create the best hair salon in Cape Town with the best hairstylists. With that in mind, I created an internal training program for all our stylists, sharing my knowledge while also gaining more. This helped us bring some trophies for the brand : two times Gold trophy and one Silver for Wella Trend Vision Award, and one Gold for Redken Artists. All our stylists are constantly growing, either through international seminars or internal training. Our main approach towards hair is Suitability, taking in consideration the face shape, head shape, skin tone, eyes color, lifestyle and also budget.
My own signature cutting style comes from combining my coloring and cutting skills to create tailor-made looks for all my clients - whether it’s my everyday customers, models or celebrity.

Every single trip to this salon is a dream. My eye colour, skin tone and face shape were all considered to make the perfect cut and colour choices. The team works beautifully together and treats each client with great care and consideration. The hair wash and massage experience is fantastic and lastly, in this tricky time of running a hair salon in a pandemic, they are fanatical about mask wearing and sanitizing. If you're going to have to cover half your face, you may as well have great hair, right? Thanks to Flo and team. I will not be trying another hairdresser as long as I'm in Cape Town.

I started my career in Johannesburg in 2005. Competitions and training courses is what fueled me as a young stylist.
My greatest gift to myself was going to Vidal Sassoon Academy in London and Jay Mahmood, which was a life changer.
In 2017 we opened Excentric On Point, my greatest achievement, my biggest passion, my love, my life!
At the New York Redken Exchange I did creative color training and achieved my goal to become a Redken Artist 🖤 in 2020.
This year my focus will be on giving.
Giving back to young stylists, stylist in the making, my Excentric Family. Growing together with the same passion and love!!
