UPDATE 04.09.2019
As promised, we are here to update you on this weekend's amazing WIN....That's right...Flo, 1st place GOLD WINNER at the Wella Trendvision Color Artsist Award 2019!
We are super excited to announce that yet again Flo has been chosen as 1 of the 12 finalists in this years prestigious Wella Trendvision Hair Competition. He was 1 of the 6 finalists in the Color Artist Category along with another 6 finalists in the Creative Vision Category who got to showcase their skills at Emperor's Palace on the 1st of September 2019.
We thought it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane and revisit all his past entries. Our 1st thought was that times would have changed and the looks dated. We were surprised, his remained true to his consistent signature advanced coloring techniques and precision cutting style always coming through as the main essence. Have a look and let us know what you think.

The retreat is a 3-day event that includes exclusive mentoring and coaching sessions. Winners will work in a team and learn from top global guest artists. Teams will ultimately compete during the three days for the coveted Couture Collection Award, as well as other signature accolades.
Flo's inspiration:
The greatest artist is God and his creations always inspires me.Even though beauty is subjective, we can all agree that nature is always beautiful. I wanted to create a look that is unique for a person that is a perfectionist by nature but also likes texture, likes to stand out and likes to be different. I took my inspiration from nature(frangipani flower) and current movement that allows bright, unique hair colors to be accepted everywhere. Yellow has been a strong trend that is slightly fading away, just like the color on my model and new shades of coral and pink are taking over. My look perfectly intercalates the softness and beauty of the veil inspired by the Banyan Tree and messy texture with the strength and sharpness of a precise haircut. My inspiration was all draw while on vation in Ubud, Bali this year. The look is also salon wearable because the veil can be pushed to the back and the colors are just enough to make the look interesting but not boring.
We would like to take this moment to congratulate all the entrants that made it to the finals and wish all the winners the best!
Also a massive thanks to Wella and Modern Hair and beauty for organizing this amazing competition and challenging each of the entrants to step out of their comfort zone and immerse themselves into new experiences. Another massive congratulations to Angie who celebrated her Master Color Graduation at this event. Angie has worked quite hard since last year November at the start of the course in addition to still giving her absoute best in salon while completing this very intensive color course and got to go to Jhb to celebrate!
We also want to congratulate 2 of our team members, Rosadah, last year's 2nd place Creative Vision winner, and Mishkah, new Junior stylist for putting yourself out there. We know you both learnt a great deal from the experience and we are proud of you for participating in this amazing competition. Although you did not make it to the finals, we are proud of you for putting in the effort.
